Entity Wallet
How to use the Entity Wallet plugin
The Entity Wallet plugin deploys a multisig company wallet for your OtoCo entity. Under the hood it is a Safe (formerly Gnosis Safe) β the same multisig standard used by DAOs, foundations, and crypto-native companies worldwide. Use it to hold treasury, sign transactions with multiple owners, and separate company funds from your personal wallet.
Option 1: Create a new Entity Wallet
- Open the plugin. From the DashPanel, select your entity, click Plugins in the left menu, then Add to open the Entity Wallet plugin.
- Add owners. Enter the Ethereum addresses of the additional co-owners. Your connected wallet is automatically the first owner.
- Set the signing threshold. Choose how many owners must approve a transaction before it can execute (for example, 2 of 3).
- Deploy. Confirm the transaction in your wallet to deploy the multisig. Once mined, the wallet address is recorded against your entity and available in the Finance tab.
Option 2: Link an existing Safe
If you already have a Safe deployed for the same set of owners, paste its address into the plugin to attach it to your entity. No new contract is deployed.
Best practices
- Keep a hardware-wallet signer as one of the owners for cold storage.
- Use a threshold of at least 2 for any wallet that will hold real value.
- Add the Entity Wallet address to your accounting tools (Den, Multis, etc.) so transactions show up in your books automatically.
Where to find it later
The deployed wallet is shown on your entity's Finance tab and is also surfaced in Genco, the OtoCo AI assistant, so you can ask it questions like "what's my Entity Wallet balance?" or "send 0.5 ETH from my Entity Wallet to ...".
